“Grig”
…the androgynous bard. I’m adding a few black and white india ink pieces to my portfolio at the moment. I may add a colour version of Grig too though as I want to show her blue tartan cloak! The inspiration for Grig comes from one of our Jade Regent party members.

I was just sorting through some old folders and came across this Star Wars fan-boy offering I did ages ago (there are a lot of shoddily drawn areas on these characters mind you). I’ve been playing lots of Star Wars: The Old Republic lately … not that I need any more distractions from my current projects … but maybe it’s time to do a few new Star Wars fan art pieces!
Hmm - I’m sure I added watercolour to this, if I can find the colour version I’ll add it later

Just completed this one today …
I’ve already mentioned that I’m an avid rpger. I’m currently playing a game with six friends called Kingmaker (part of the Pathfinder game). In summary a group of companions must settle and secure a wild untamed wilderness and make it into their own domain. Olga is my contribution. Here is one of her companions …
Borivan Goldrivven, a dwarven priest of the deity of civilisation and wealth. As tight-fisted as he is loyal he acts as the treasurer and Master of Coin for the Domain of Thorn that the companions have founded.

A lot of my work is of character designs and as an avid rpger many of these designs are of characters from our games. I like the challenge of trying to bring life to a set of words and an image in someone else’s mind. You’ll see a lot of these cropping up over the weeks and months. I hope that each portrait tells you even just a little bit about the person (or creature) depicted.
This one is of the witch Olga Vranov, her familiar, Glumst, whispers to her a new secret, distracting her from her study of a book of forbidden lore. A seemingly frivolous nature hides her powerful determination to succeed and claw her way up from her impoverished past no matter what the cost. You’ll see Olga again sometime…
